Auto Body Shop Repair Inspection
Recently one of our techs attended a training class in central California. The subject was inspection of repairs done by body shops to determine if the appraisal done was in fact equal to the actual repairs.
Most interesting was a electronic measuring device used to determine if a part had factory paint or a body shop repair and re-paint. As a result of this schooling, we at NETS purchased one of the devices.

We recently did an inspection for a client of which the original estimate of repairs were about $5,000 dollars. After repairs and painting the owner picked up the auto and we accompanied the SIU person and did a vehicle examination.
The results we revealed that over $3,000 dollars of the estimate repairs were in fact not done and were not in need of repair in the first place. We are now offering this service as part of our Auto Fraud Examinations.
